2005 Roush Stage 1 Mustang
With every great car comes an even greater story. In the fall of 2004 Lance wanted a 03/04 Mach 1. We looked all over and at the time we could not find any at all. When we did find one he wasn't quite sure if its what he wanted. Then when the 2005's came out he was in awe of the old school styling that reminded him of the mach 1 he'd always wanted as a kid. We looked intensely for an 05 GT 5-speed but couldn't find one that fit what he was looking for.
Finally he found one, but not in Utah. He was in Las Vegas with his wife for her real estate convention. While she was in classes he decided to run down to the local ford dealers to see what they had. Arriving a little earlier than when the dealership opened he saw this Roush sitting on the showroom floor and literally put a face print on the glass looking in at it, 30 minutes later the dealership opened. Instantly he asked to test drive the car and the salesman wanted him to drive a V6 one to see if he liked the car first. Lance says "uhhh I don't want to test drive a v6 I want to buy that Roush!" So he test drives it and an hour later he's off back to the hotel with the car. Telling his wife about the car was something he wanted to save till the last day. After telling his wife to wait at the hotel lobby and drove up in the new mustang. She was very upset about the purchase. So he loaded up all the luggage into the mustang and dropped his wife off at the airport and started his drive back. Might as well break it in how you're going to drive it right? Mary's flight was delayed for 3.5 hours, long enough that when her plane landed he picked her up at the airport.....
So far the car has received awards in 3 car shows. Including,
Park City 2005, Steamboat Springs, CO 2006, and Park City 2006.
Modifications other than the standard Stage 1 package....
