History on the car, I Just purchased it from the 2nd owner, the Original owner requested that his be built on a GT, I am guessing after about 100 Phone calls and conversations, he knew someone that knew somebody casue that is Just what he got.
I too thought it was a clone, till further investigation, I called Got the Vin from the seller I called Saleen and they Confirmed the Vin# as Being 87-282 which Oh by the was is also the LAST 87 Saleen Built. So after I confirmed the Vin, I called The all Knowing saleen Guy himslef. He called BS on the car, which I fully understand given all the clone cars these days.
So the only way to Validate this car is to Visually inspect the car and see if all the VIN Tag stickers are on the Panels to Confirm it as a True GT Body. Well I was amazed that Every Vin Sticker is on this car front to rear.
Apon further rare request from the original buyer he requested NO saleen stickers or saleen Data Tags be put on the car. It has 100% all Race craft suspension, Basket wheels, strut tower Brace, shift Know shifter, and Flow fit interrior, he also requested no Saleen Insignia on the door panels, However it has the Correct and original Flow Fit material.
The idea he had was to have the Full saleen package but keep it as a GT, Sleeper so to speak I Guess. Wll I will let the Pictures speak for its self
