Sounds great Mike, awesome job, Can't wait to see it!

Think you'll have it ready for the next cruise?

Mister Ambitious says he will be driving it this weekend.. I am so wanting to record that too!

I still can't believe how forward he was thinking about the plates too! he got the car emissioned and inspected just before (wuith the 5.0) so they didn't expire while she was getting her organ transplant

Awesome Mike!
Congratulations, that sounds ****ing mean.
I'd like to come up and see it sometime.
I wander how these would sell if someone mass produced them.
I'd buy one, long live the fox body!

Getting closer. Today I put in the heat exchanger - Had to straighten the mangled brackets from the doner car, then cut, bend, weld the bracket to fit the Fox. HE is the black part, silver cooler is for the power steering.

Pump and tubes:

Even got the nose put back on with some minor trimming to clear the HE.

Opening could be larger but all the air that comes in the opening has to go through the heat exchanger. Can't even tell it's in there, more stealth.

Even got the stereo working. Sound pretty good.

Ordered a proper exhaust today, Maximum Motorsports said Dynomax or Flowmaster will clear the panhard bar. I went with a Dynomax system with stainless steeel tips and ultraflow mufflers. Also ordered a K&N FIPK filter.

When is the next cruise? All I have to do to make it driveable is connect the head and tail lights. Lots of little things to do to finish it off after that though.

As of today the following works:
Headlights, running lights, turnsignals, taillights, brake lights, rear defrost, hatch popper, rear interior light and the third brake light. Head and taillights were easy. The stuff in the hatch was a little confusing getting it to work with the 03 wiring harness (the rear interior light has two grounds so it works with all the doors). Luckily I have an extra 03 Cobra to look at for reference. Tomorrow - door wiring, seats, drive.

Since I don't own a Camaro, I have never figured out what "FIPK" stands for?

I think it's "Fuel Injection Performance Kit" It's a big ass filter, heat shield and a smooth radius adapter between the filter and MAF. I have one on my 03 Cobra and like it. Noticable power increase and huge increase in blower whine.

Nice work can wait to see it in person, and I run the FIPK as well and it has been great. I'm so jealous makes me want to go get my dads 69 fastback and do the same conversion. . . oh thats right, no time or money to start that. angry.gif

Got a little more done today befoe I was forced to go to dinner for my aniversary. Why are women that way?

Anyway, got the doors wired and more interior put in. Tip for anyone thinking of doing this - Put the drivers side door wiring harness in before you put the dash in. Fuse box and relays under the drivers side dash make it very difficult after the dash is in. My hands are all cut to hell but I got the damn thing in. Passenger side was no problem. Seats will go in tommorrow and another check of everything and it's drivin time!!!

It's the Fox carpet. The Cobra carpet is dark grey. I thought the light grey Fox carpet would a nice contrast between the dark grey on the dash, console, upper door panels and seats - and the light grey on the lower door panels, headliner and seat inserts. And the dark floor mats on the light carpet tie it all together.
